Congrats, you lucky Brits ! I envy you, but in a good way. Have fun and tell the author a lot of nice things. Because he's nice. |

Yes, Kisch, he's VERY nice & responds to all of us as individuals, not celebrity-talking-down-to-the-fans.He makes sure he says something to everyone, even the very shy ones who get a bit overcome. |

Any idea what times he'll be signing from and until? Only I have college in the morning :(
EDIT: Just found out its 12:30pm! Looks like a certain person may be calling in sick that day =P... |

I'm banging my head against the wall having missed the signing in London on Friday - and also the IOE presentation which I vaguely knew about and promptly forgot - but thrilled to hear about Oxford. Pity they've screwed up the dates on the websites. Borders lists it as Thursday 12th November but it must be 22nd. Flexi day coming up! :-) |

I got mine signed today in East Kilbride, Scotland and there were about 250 people in the queue. I mentioned to Mr Palin that I started the 'Big Green Joke Book' and he said he appreciated the work that gets done on the website. He also said that it was nice to meet us. We didn't want to get into conversation as there were about 175 people behind us although I did hear him mention to the group in front that his 'signing hand' has to keep working for another 2 weeks! |

That's great, Ken!
I hope he doesn't get RSI in his hand after all that signing! |

Hello Ken!
I too was in East Kilbride, (probably about a quarter of the way from the front of the queue at the start). It was brilliant that he came to EK and not to Glasgow (like most other big authors). Managed to get a few words with him too and forced a hand shake out of him. I was rushed along by the Waterstones staff though which is probably just as well becuase Mr Palin's the kind of guy you could probably stand and chat to for ages! (Exactly as he is on tv - and in book!) |
