Yerbie and Halloween Do Not Mix

Last night was Yerbie's first Halloween. Normally he loves meeting new people. All the noise and the kids were annoying him. He was not afraid, he was angry. He was @ the door as the attack cat. He thought he was a Mountain Lion. He is sitting with me now looking to be comforted.

Poor Yerbie! I don't blame him for being angry. How does he react to fireworks? I feel sorry for the animals here. Around Bonfire Night, Halloween and Diwali, there are fireworks going off all the time. |

Yeah, poor guy. Maybe it was dressing him up that got him angry?
I walked Bruno around little kids and firworks his first year. Every year after that he'd be waiting for goblins at the door when he heard, "Trick or treat!"
Fireworks meant funny-looking kids with candy.

I guess, Lounge Trekker, that got Bruno used to the noise etc.And now it seems to be a small highlight of his calendar...Sue said it re GB, Mike: she (like most of us) must hear scared animals howling etc. all over the place.5th November is serious noise, though & I wish the celebrations well but don't go to watch anything now.
Yerbie sounds a feisty little guy. |

Poor Tosun has been frightened every night for at least a week with fireworks going off. |

Poor kitty! Some of them really can't deal with noise and strangers, particularly strangers who don't look human...or animal. Give him lots of love and treats.
I had a little 5-pound kitty who used to attack ravens and turkeys. Once a raven just stood there looking at her as if to say, "Oh yeah? Whatcha gonna do if you catch me?" She apparently had the same idea, because when she saw that she was actually going to catch it, she pulled up short, they had a brief stare-down, and she ran away. LMAO! |

The cactus wrens tease Yerbie mercilessly.
He has been comforted and now just wants to be the center of attention. |
