My fave shoes ever were a dusky pink, suede pair of wedges in 1971. They were soooo comfy and yet fashionable, and went well with cords or dresses.
Also, I just HAD to have a pair of white 'kinky boots' when I was, I suppose, 14 or 15 - remember them Linda, with the cut outs and a bow at the front? Our school uniform was strictly black or brown shoes (a pair of outdoor and a pair of indoor). I asked my Mom to buy me a pair of these white boots, which she did, and off I went to school. First day, the Headmistress spots me and asks me what on earth I am wearing. I said, 'Sorry Miss Dawson, my Mum bought them for me because she thought I'd like them and she can't afford to get another pair' (what a little liar I was! Poor Mom!!). Anyway she sort of snorted and let me off.
Embarrassing? I am FAR too cool and trendy to have any embarrassing shoes!!!

I had a pair of black suede thigh high boots with 3 1/2" heels when I was in my 20s. They had fake laces down the sides to show my legs, which were a lot nicer then. Not having much of a body, I loved to wear those boots, because men ALWAYS turned their heads! Sigh. The good old days... |

My favorite pair of shoes right now are flat black sneakers with a cherry pattern on them. I <3 them. |

Yes I remember white boots - had some flat ones myself. You WERE cool to fool your teacher like that - she wouldn't date disagree!
Mrsthing, I hope you have photos of the kind of outfit you describe - I threw mine out & wish i hadn't. Being 20 seems ages ago, but then, it was...
Mary, your shoes sound both comfortable and practical. |

I don't have any pictures of those boots. I wish I did. All my clothes and shoes now are practical and comfortable--not a sexy or naughty thing among them! |

i had some florescent lime green trainers when i was about 14, the problem was i don't think my body had grown into my feet and therefore they were even more obvious then if they'd been worn by a 'normal' person! :P |
