Christmas plans by Ellerd on 10 December 2007 10:33am

Only two weeks to Christmas. Already the shops are beginning to fill with Christmas shoppers. What's everyone doing over the holidays?

We're having a big family Christmas down the coast in New South Wales. First family Christmas for quite a few years! Can't wait!

I need to buy presents this week. I go to Rovaniemi on 22nd day, so I have time to do christmas food shopping. On Eve, we will get the tree from our yard, visit the graveyard, eat, enjoy ourselves, maybe watch a film, give presents, whole family together (5 people and 13-year-old cat). Traditional Christmas for us. And no Santa Claus, never had one. (Although, this year, we may have extra guests, I hope not, I just want to have a peaceful christmas with my family.)
On christmas day, we will be home, maybe visit neighbour, eat, read a good book, watch films. Same on Boxing day. Peaceful, quiet christmas, what more can you ask?

Do you have a big family, Ellerd?

Over Christmas I plan on working, reading, writing, relaxing, spending time with the fam and enjoying the spirit of the season! It is, after all, the most wonderful time of the year. I also wanna connect with some friends I haven't seen in a long time.

Well we stay in a tight little bubble of (mainly) 2 people: pantomimes (3) concert (1) opera (1)lots of good food & drink,(lots of which we grew ourselves,) walks, getting together with friends, reading books, listening to radio: NO TV and NO FAMILY. Yeah!
