Kaz, where do Creme eggs originate?

Do creme hens lay them? I know the dickerels don't.

Well the cocoa comes from a secret place, near Mexico City. (I would give its Nahuatl name, but I misspell it every time, and I KNOW I CANNOT pronounce it).
The cocoa is then put on a treasure ship for Switzerland, where it is mixed with other ingredients and then put in a giant vault. An executor doles it out to Kaz, (the Swiss are strict about that).

It's ok Mike, we are among friends and no-one will spill the [cocoa]beans!

Just as there are jam-butty mines in Knotty Ash, Liverpool (just ask Ken Dodd) so there are creme egg mines in Bournville, Birmingham, guarded by Eggy Soldiers (as they are called).

Well cows need to be involved somewhere, perhaps they are perspiring away in the mines

Who? What? Why? How?
Re: Where? by kazzzz on 17 December 2007 5:37am
Pats, they are laid by giant chocolate chickens which live in cool climates. This is why we have such a creme egg shortage here in Australia, it is simply too warm for chocolate chickens to live here.
Re: Where? by peripatetically on 17 December 2007 1:18pm
Don't you have refrigeration and air conditioning, Kaz? They could live there with the help of modern science.

So which country raises the most choccie chickens, then? Belgium, maybe?
Re: Where? by Spursfan on 17 December 2007 1:40pm
The Choccy chickens (called Chooks in Oz) lay their eggs on platforms in secretly located sheds in Bournville.

The platforms open as the chickens get off, and the eggs slide down a gently sloping chute into the creme egg mines situated below, where they mature over many years into the stick gooey confectionary we know and love.

After time, a papery coating grows on the shell of the eggs, and lo! miraculously it has the words 'Cadbury's' 'Creme' and Egg' on it!!

All that remains is for the trusty team of miners to risk life and limb underground - for there in the creme egg mine lurks the dangerous (and a bit scary) most prolific eater of the eggs in the World - the kazzzzy. They carefully cut the eggs from the surrounding surface, taking care not to rip the coating, and then bringing them to the surface on specially refrigerated trolleys.

All hail to the Cadbury's Creme Egg miners!!

Hail, indeed!

Thrice hale! Hail hail hail!

Who ever said the internet was a waste of time, just LOOK how educational this site is :)

Oh by the way, those 'other' eggs, the caramel ones and white ones and turkish delight ones are blatant ripoffs. Everyone knows that giant chocolate chickens can't lay turkish delight eggs. Pfffffffft.
