Superbowl Glory by Palin_Lover on 5 February 2008 2:17am
You know I had to post this.

I'm done. ^__^

I was rooting for the underdogs, too!

I was torn. I like the underdog idea, but am not fond of any New York team or the Mannings. And the Patriots--- well, nobody's perfect, so this just proves it. Maybe next year, Tom! But now that the Giants won, I feel disappointed.

Really torn...

Yes yes I know LOL!

I consoled my die-hard Patriots fan friend with, "Each team's job is to play their best and win. Only one team can achieve both objectives."

He thought it was cold comfort.

I tried to watch the game but was so tired that after Laurence Tynes opening field goal I switched off and went to sleep. I was glad that Tynes kicked well to help the Giants win it.

I don't usually watch televised sports. They're mostly on cable now, anyway, and I don't get cable. But since "my" team was in the Superbowl (Pats), I listened to obsessed fans talk and looked at the news first thing in the morning to see who'd won. The only team I'd give more for is the Red Sox, and even at that--I just follow the World Series games online in real-time (or very nearly real-time).

I received a note from my glamorous friend Rita, who is a Giants fan. I am being teased @ work. Oh yes, being a Patriots fan is rough, especially when you can pick out the mistakes that lost it for them.

I am not Catholic and I have been going around muttering, "mother of God!"
