Writing to Michael by Revolution12 on 8 March 2008 3:26am

For anyone who has written to Michael:

Does he actually, personally, write back to you?

And is the address under 'contacts' still the correct one to write to? (Prominent Palin Productions)

If he isn't busy at the time he gets the letter, then you'll get a little message on your picture(I got a postcard with one when I asked for one last year).

And the address is the correct one. Good luck!

Thanks! And you mentioned a picture - do you need to send a picture to him if you want him to sign it or what?

I suppose you could if you wanted to but it isn't required. :)

When Sophie and Thomas from this site became engaged, Soph wrote to Michael and told him and he sent them back a signed photo congratulating them...how nice is that?

Re: Writing to Michael by Elsie on 9 March 2008 5:26pm

I wrote to him a couple of months ago, and I got a reply of his secretary (because he was busy with New Europe at that time). But there was also a signed photograph included, which he had done himself. It was really nice!

I don't think that you have to include anything, I didn't even include an enveloppe with my own adress written on it and I still got an answer :-).

But if you didn't write an adress on it, how did they know where to send it??

Re: Writing to Michael by Elsie on 9 March 2008 10:19pm

I wrote an adress on the enveloppe.
I meant I didn't include a second enveloppe, adressed to myself. You often hear that famous people don't send a reply if you send a letter without extra enveloppe and stamp, but this isn't the case here :-).

Ok. I always use just one envelope :-)

Karen, you know the word `nice` is banned here. You are therefore fined the sum of three creme eggs ;)
