With new Irish passport in hand, I will be in Cornwall soonish. Can anyone suggest a good B&B/home/hotel?

You're obsessed. Sad really, you'd think a man of your age would have a better hobby than that.

I can't recommend a b & b personally, but when we need one I usually google 'bed and breakfast accommodation [email protected] (or whatever) and see what you get on the visitBritain website (don't know its full address offhand, sorry.) They have a star-rating system which is valuable & you should get recommendations.
Otherwise, if you're near a public library- in UK there are printed guides which list good ones, worth checking your local library where you are?
Good luck. It's a lovely county.(Sprry wpon't be able to reply for a while as I am offline for about 10 days - in the west-country myself, Gloucestershire)

My ancestors are from Cornwall (not sure where, though). They were peat farmers, so they were probably a lot like the "constitutional peasants" in the Holy Grail movie--LOL! I want to go there and see if I can dig up anything on my ancestors, but it's a pretty common surname in England, so it might be hard to find the right ones. I googled it awhile back, and discovered several doctors, a female singer/celebrity, a 5-year-old girl who died in the Indonesian tsunami (daughter of English tourists), and the perpetrator of a grisly murder. Don't know if I'm related to any of them.
