Isn't Venus too hot for Scotsmen? Wouldn't Uranus be closer to the mark? Or a cold wet hillside?

I tried to find a great list of things a guy can do for his lady in order to help keep her happy with him. It would save you a lot of time instead of reading Grey's book. I couldn't find it, but found this instead:

Johnny, it's very simple. Women want to be cherished. Remember her birthday, your anniversary, remember what kind of gifts she likes, give her little love tokens for no other reason than to express your love for her. Be thoughtful. Just get up and do that thing she's been nagging you to do, and do it cheerfully or at least quickly and without comment. Ask how you can help her. Let her know you have her needs on your mind. If you don't know what they are, ask her. She may come back with, "You should just know!" but ask anyway. Be observant--it isn't all that hard to figure out what she wants and likes if you pay attention.

Do the dishes in the morning,
Wash your car before you pick her up
Wash HER car before she picks YOU up
Bring flowers before it is required
Give her five minutes of your individed attention at the end of every work day
