I've actually known about this site for a while and occasionally get on to donate rice. It really takes no time at all to donate 1000 grains, and it's definitely worth it.

I just raised 4200 grains.. got to level 43, then it really starts to get difficult!

I got to 48 once, but only for one word. It's hard to recover after you miss a word. But the point is to donate the rice.

okay, my english is too bad and my brain is too slow for this game...but i try...
must of the word i have never heard of before--- :-( only 1020 grains

Just-a-shy-girl:

Click on 'options', then choose "Start me at Vocabulary Level 1 when I start FreeRice." Then press the 'set options' button.

Then it will start on Level 1 and you can go up from there :)

INSTRUCTIONS

Select a discussion theme.
