I know, I better take that trip to Churchill, Manitoba while they are still in the wild.
I wrote Gov. Palin's office but did not get an answer. I can only surmise, because:
1. I am not an Alaska resident therefore, no reason to speak with me.
2. She may not approve of Mr. P. She is one of the most CONSERVATIVE American Governors.

I've seen them in zoos enough to verify that these guys are very real, very big, and worth saving. However, if the polar ice melts we can only keep them alive in big refrigerated zoos.

Here's that National Geographic link to streaming video of polar bears: http://video.nationalgeographic.com/video/polarbearcam/

Polar Bears are interesting, not cute and huggable LOL! They might hug you to death.
The next TV Toastmasters meeting is doing a round table on Global Warming May 29th. Teach the bloody polar bears how to swim!;-)
Governor Palin is a hunter and may use them for target practice, (though it doesn't seem very sporting, they present such large targets)...
Global warming? Bah humbug!;-)

Now I am being silly....
