Thanks for sharing this. Very funny and interesting. Perhaps next time Palin and Cleese resurrect the Parrot Sketch for some charity event, they can dress as cavemen.

I used to have a pair of Norwegian Blues. Sadly they were both male.

"Perhaps next time Palin and Cleese resurrect the Parrot Sketch for some charity event, they can dress as cavemen."

It's a funny idea....let's ignore that the birds went extinct long before humans ever showed up.

"Ugg! Bird dead!"
"No, bird sleep."
"Bird no move. Bird dead."
"No, bird sleep."
[First caveman clubs parrot.]
"Bird no wake. Bird dead!"
"Bird stunned."
[First caveman picks up parrot, grunts and hollers at it, waves it around in the air.]
"Bird no wake up. Bird dead. DEAD, DEAD, DEAD!"
"Okay, me get new bird. You wait."
[Second caveman goes to look for more parrots.]
"Sorry, no parrot. Got slug."
"Slug talk?"
"Slug mumble a bit."*
"No want slug! Want parrot!"
[Third caveman comes in.]
"This too silly! Stop now!"

*"It mumbles a bit" was one of Michael's ad libs. Apparently, it sent John into fits of laughter.
