The Chatter Box : Blathering On

Sad news by googlebot on 12 June 2008 9:39pm
I'll keep this brief.

I heard today that Sally, known on the Palins Travels website as bunniegirl1979, and the brains and drive behind Project Palin, passed away on Sunday at the age of 29 following a year long battle with cancer.

Her funeral is being held near her home in London tomorrow, and although I can't be there, my thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.

Sally always tried her best for people, and I know she was heartbroken at the insults that were thrown at her by the users of the site during the last months of her life.

I hope you are all very proud of yourselves.

Rest in peace and God bless.

I'm so sorry to hear the news - I don't actually remember insulting Sally at all and appreciated her efforts.

My thoughts are with her family and friends. It is so awful when such a young person dies - my friends recently lost their daughter at 21 years old. Cruel, cruel life.

May she rest in peace and my thoughts go with her family and friends. I didn't know her very well, but she seemed like a kind soul. I lost an aunt a week ago today to a two-year battle with that atrocious disease. It snatches so many lives, but we must be thankful that they no longer suffer through the pain of its treatment.

That's so sad. Thank you for relaying the message.

That is immensely sad, indeed - beyond words...

I am truly sorry to no end that there were insults here - I avoided and did not read any of those threads, once I heard the reports on others.

I only hope that people did not know her situation, because otherwise it is unimaginable how cruel people can be, and I would be sad to know some people here can be that cruel.

Oh gosh. I am so saddened to hear this news, it's just awful. It's also awful that what was perhaps her last impression of this site was a bad one. I'm sorry she had to be the object of insults here. I'm thankful for her hard work on Project Palin and she will certainly be missed here on the site. And at such a young age. It's so sad to hear something like this happen. My thoughts are with her friends and family at this sad, sad time.

Rest in Peace.

Oh I am so sorry to hear this terrible news.
Her efforts with PP were fantastic and she was always a big personality on this site.

Condolences to Sally's family. Just very very sad news.

So sad to have contributed so much to be appreciated so little. Thank you Sally, and may your after-life be a sweet, sweet song.
