Linda, if you are going to the Hammershoi talk tomorrow, I will look out for you.

I will be going to the exhibition after the talk as I asked for a combined ticket for talk and exhibition (plus a free drink)!

Hello S., I'm not Linda, but I know she was planning to go:) Have fun tomorrow (don't drink too much, lol) and please take pix if possible or record the event any other way. I'll be at home, biting my nails and kicking myself for not going ! Good luck xxx

Hello, folks - Rox, I took notes at the talk & will post them when I've put them in order:

Kisch, I sent affectionate messages to you via Katia (but she was very preoccupied with Mr.P!) Sue & I talked of you 9nicely!)

Sue - well, kidda, just great to meet up after chatting like this for a long time. Hope you enjoyed the exhibition itself, look forward to hearing from you.

Linda and Katia - Nice to meet you on Friday.

I went round the exhibition with Katia. Liked the paintings, especially the interiors, the way he captured the light, etc.

Aww, thank you Linda and Sue for talking nicely of me ! I'm glad you enjoyed the M.P. experience and I also promise to come next time !

Yes, Kisch, you were in my thoughts at that talk - I was remembering the one at the Tate. The RAA has a nicer lecture theatre - gold-carved ceilings - but it's much smaller. Therefore more intimate, perhaps: MP seemed much closer to everyone.Microphones were handed out for questions, but not really needed.

Linda my dear,

Just got your card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I should have written properly but I know you are not so email-friendly and anyway I am appalingly impatient about writing and mailing letters and then waiting for two weeks till it reaches you - sorry! And sorry for littering the public forum with my ramblings, everybody who might pop in this thread!

It was so nice, my dear, to remember me in Bexhill (I know Marc A. appeared to be a reminder, but nevertheless). I shall try to get the card signed anyway! Shame I could not have made Bexhill, but the concert in Leeds was much like that one, according to the witnesses.

And now my sincere apologies for my being "carried away" at the RAA. I know I may wear that "aloof aura" sometimes but it is always due to being exhausted and nervous (which I honestly was), so please never mind. Believe me, I was just happy to see you, Stewart and Sue. My mind was sorta going blank after a few hectic days (and nights) I'd had since my arrival. Anyway, I am sorry.

The Saturday was less hectic (still, I ended up awfully drunk with Ben at London Bridge), most interesting was to meet Jeremy Reed in the afternoon; you may have heard of him, he is a writer and poet (and wrote a couple of books and a dozen poems about Marc Almond:-)) and a most fascinating androgynous creature, as decadent as they make them. We fell for each other immediately and I look forward to seeing him again;-)

Now you see, I do not seek adventures in London - they seek me, isn't that just wonderful!

So my dear, THANKS VERY MUCH again - for everything. I do love you dearly and cannot wait to see you again (hopefully in October, I'll certainly come down from Yorkshire for a few days)!

Hello Katia, ducks: got your email, will reply in the next few days, thanks!

Yes, as you guessed, travelling, hospital tests and just a REALLY busy time of year for me.

Hope you're recovering well at home!!
