I`m just wondering if this virus might stop Michael travelling to China next month?

Any thoughts, Palinites?

I hope it stops him! I would love for him to do another travel series, but I have severe paranoia...so I would worry too much!

I wrote a letter to the website office to express my concern over this.
China still sounds very bad. I'm here in Singapore and we are taking a lot of precautionary measures to help break this cycle of infection. No new cases for 2 days now and it's very encouraging.

Karen, the worst is over everywhere EXCEPT China, according to everything I have heard and read. It has gotten out of hand over there due to the cover-up. Let's hope and pray is does reach it's peek and taper off soon. It doesn't sound likely anytime soon, though.

Hi all,
just received a letter from the office that maintains this website. i had written earlier to express my concerns over MP and his crew travelling during this period of time. The reply
"Michael, his crew and the production team are aware of the SARS problem. They aren't going to China at all."
the letter also added that they constantly monitor the situation and adjust the schedule as appropriate.
Good to know that MP and his team will not take the risk of travelling to SARS-affected countries during this period.

and oh yes, situation in China is still quite bad. They have more than 100 new cases each day! as we see from the TV reports.

Agreed, it definately seems the most sensible action at the mo.

Dear Xine, thanks for sharing the reply and PLEASE TAKE CARE, I've been thinking of you and praying that you stay safe and well. xxx

Also, love and 'keep well vibes' to Basil Pao and family in Hong Kong and to all other Palinites. Precious friends. x

NZ has just had it's first case of SARS confirmed yesterday.

Hi Ellen, thanks for your kind note.
Those of us who need not go to hospitals are safe; according to the hospital staff who do the tracing they find that those who contacted the disease had come into contact with someone with SARS or they had visited someone at the hospital. All hospitals are closed to the public now. Stay safe all.
