Limericks

Here's your chance to try your hand at writing a limerick.
For example:
There once was a fellow named Mick,
Who thought he'd give travellin' the flick.
But then 'fore he knew it,
All his pension - he blew it,
On a ticket and new walking stick.

There once was a woman named Palin,
Who in America had us all wailin'.
But before she knew it,
There was the pooper of the trooper,
And thus Palin was bailin'. |

There was a young* woman called Annie
Whose balancing skills were uncanny
She walked 'cross the wire
Which sadly caught fire
And landed right smack on her f.. well we'll have no more of THAT limerick!!!
;)
*poetic licence hahahaha |

Anne, the word you left out is not a lewd word in America. But I understand it's not the case in the UK. It means something different here. So, go ahead, say it! lol |

A randy marsupial named Reeves
Spent some time with the whores 'tween their knees
When they'd asked him for money
He'd say "Listen honey
A koala eats bushes and leaves."

Did you hear of the Islander named Pete?
Whose lifestyle and manner're replete
With much fun and activity
To nourish his proclivity
For everything wonderful and sweet

I love limericks! Here's a couple I wrote:
There is just one man that I hate
and I'm not sure what is the guy's fate
Andrew is his name
and drama his game
So would you please lock up the gate?
There once was a man called Neil
Who didn't really know how to peel
Suddenly one day
A banana walked his way
And Neil quickly learned how to peel |

I know Pats!! It is (childishly, I know) amusing for us when we visit the States to go in shops where they sell 'f*n*ypacks' instead of bumbags as we call them!! snigger snigger!

Hey Johnny, original limericks only, please ;)
And by the way, Koalas don't eat bushes. They do however, eat their mothers' faeces - perhaps you could write a limerick about that... |

Sorry Ev, I could'nt resist that one.
I'd try to write one about you but I can't remember if you are a Bruce or a Sheila ( it's hard to tell with Aussies ). :) |
