on the weekend!! We've been in a very small flat for ages which heats up like an oven in the Summer. We're moving to a neighbouring suburb, nice little place with aircon YAY and a spa and a lovely garden for Ava. Can't wait, the packingis driving me nuts thought, as Ava is "helping"!

I might be offline for a month tho, coz the new phone connection is gonna take a month and then our internet provider says it's gonna take another 3 weeks to get the net connected again NOT happy. I'll have to visit good friends with computers for my Palinfix ;)

Sounds lovely, kazzzz! Good luck with the move. It's so sweet that Ava wants to help. Can you set her to doing something age appropriate, like putting things in boxes? Just give her a box and a bunch of "things" (her toys?) and tell her to put them in the box. She'll be so absorbed putting them in and taking them out that you may be able to buy some time that way.

We don't need it much, but I wish we had AC for the times we do need it. It's more the humidity than the heat--my house gets so freakin' damp in the summer.

Happy new house!

Ohh good idea she's rather preoccupied with oulling things back out!!! I;ll try your trick tomorrow. I am calling in the cavalry tomorrow in the form of my Dad,she adores him!

Thanx for the good wishes:)

When Alexandra was 1 year old, someone gave her a toy called "Balls in a Bowl". It was just a clear plastic bowl with a narrow-ish opening, and three clear plastic balls with colorful whirligigs inside. She played with it for 35 minutes straight! Put the balls in, take the balls out. Put one ball in, examine the other two, take the ball out and put the other two in...it was fun to watch, and it was a great toy for keeping her busy--for a week or so, anyway.

Amazing isn't it? Ava has a little backpack and she pops plastic balls in and out of it for ages too. She also has a little set of books which she puts in and out of the box for ages and ages. The simplest things.

All happiness, love, fun and joy for your new home. God knows how I'll manage when I have to move from here. I've been here 22 years. I reckon I've got maybe 10 more years before the stairs get too much for me. S'pose that's plenty of time to pack.

It must be quite exciting for you.

Kazzz, how lovely. All the very best for the move, it can only be a good one - and when you start living there!

Hope the move isn't too traumatic & keep us posted with how it went & how you're getting on.

A whole month? You'll be missed...
