Train book for kids?

Hello, I know this a very long shot, but I don't know what else to try.
I am looking for a children's book that I used to have at my Grans house in the Seventies. I recall only these details:
1) The cover was green
2) It was a flat paperback book
3) It had a painted picture of a steam engine on the front and I think had "All Aboard" somewhere in the title.
4) On one of the pages, there is a painted picture of a a woman sat on the train looking out of the window. She is wearing Edwardian or possibly Victorian clothing, and is with a young girl. She (the woman) also has an oval bird cage on her knee with a parrot in it.
5)The book is about a train journey.
I've looked everywhere for a copy of this book and I can't find it anywhere.
Like I said, probably a long shot but if you guys anywhere in the world can help me, I would be touched as it would be of sentimental value to have copy of this book my Gran got me. Thanks in advance, folks. |

Don't know it I'm afraid - but here are some train books on Amazon that have 'All Aboard' in the title.

A search for the key words "All Aboard" on Alibris came up with about 100 titles. You might find it there. Here's the URL:
http://www.alibris.com/booksearch?qsort=&page=2&matches=256&wquery=All+Aboard
Is it fiction or non-fiction? |

Thanks, Guys! It was a fiction book. I don't even know if it is still in print. The copy I did have disappeared with a lot of other stuff when my Gran died. My Dad says his cousin took a lot of stuff from the house before we got to it. But as I haven't been to see her for years, I would feel a bit cheeky asking her where my book is. |

Terry S, try
www.abebooks.com
and go to the Booksleuth section. This is a forum where people post whatever they can remember about a book when they`ve forgotten the title!
Some kind helpful soul invariably turns up and provides the answer. It`s free but you register for the forums. Good luck
