The Chatter Box : Blathering On
SKYDIVING by Angel on 13 May 2003 12:17pm
Comerades and fellow travelers
( if only in mind) I am skydiving in aid of Barnados on 6th July. For those of you who remember I have Crohn's disease, which pardon the pun is a pain in the ass....
but none the less it has made me more of a person and i have a promotion at work......( but still underpaid and overworked none the less, not to mention given no credit whatsoever for anything and made to work weekends and public holidays :(.sob..)
anyway...I joined a gym!... who said diseases were all that bad? but me aside I have been trying to be a better person by doing this jump despite vertigo. You see, having watched children suffer on t.v trhough comic relief etc I want to do something and something I shall, I can't donate anything on account of my student loans and overdraft and bills and the rest, I barely have 2pence to rub together but I can jump out a plane, so you see, even with a stomach angrier than a camel with toothache and no money, you can still have a smashing time and help the kiddies so come on my friends, join me and do something for charity, any charity take your pick, bake chocolate crispies!!
And to Michael Happy Birthday mate and I salute you for letting me once more travel around the globe using your own good stomach .....bless.

Wow Angel best of luck to you, It makes my heart feel sad to hear of people who are not well but good on you for giving it a go. When the going gets tough we go skydiving !! I would love to try that one day, bit of the same really overworked and underpaid :( but you get that. But I am blessed with a healthy family and I don,t think it gets any better than that. so look after yourself and enjoy the skydiving.

MAC xxx

Hi Angel
Just wanted to wish you good luck on your skydive and hope you get loads of cash for Barnados. I took a skydiving course about 6 years ago and completed 7 jumps, 2 of which were freefall. It's a fantastic feeling of which I will never forget. I am sure you will absolutly love it. We are all behind you Angel..Happy landings! Let us all know how you get on.

Thanks to you all by Angel on 16 May 2003 5:06pm
cheers, only last night I had an unfortunate dream about this but am getting exited, i have raised a fair bit of cash so incentive to not let people down, I ahve been re watching Pole to Pole, it is fab isn't it and Michael looks like a young pup! My beloved Olivier has now become a Palinite ( for years he thought I was joking about Mr Palin being my travel representative due to being unable to travel too far- I had plans to go off travelling but got the NO from doctor until my stomach mends ) but I can however jump out the sky..funny old world really.
off to write out a tun of paperwork and fight with the stapler...
thank you so much for you kind and encouraging words guys :)

From one vertigo to another, all I can say is, "Wow!" That's quite a feat that you're willing to do this; inspirational in many ways.

*Gives Angel a healthy pat on the back*

Best of luck to you and be sure to let us know how it all turns out.

Safely on the ground for the moment,
