I;m starting a cleansing detox tomorrow, mainly because I feel sluggish and awful and need a kick start, plus losing a few kilos before Kathryn's deb in a couple of weeks won't go astray.
I haven't done one for years. Has anyone else here tried it before? Any tips?

I think i'll be OK but no coffee for a week will be VERY difficult! AARGH!

I did a sort of detox a few years ago for a month. I could not eat meat, dairy products, wheat and sweet things but could eat fish, vegetables (but not potatoes) and fruit. No coffee or tea. Felt good afterwards.

I did once try just water and fruit juice, but after 24 hours I felt dizzy and weak. Not good - for me anyway.

There's been a lot of controversy lately about cleansing procedures so please be careful, Kaz.

Will be careful. I'll just do it for a few days.
Won't kill me to eat no chocolate for a few days surely!

I did one earlier this year--lots of veggies, fish or chicken, and 3 pieces of fruit a day. I felt a lot better afterwards and my cravings went away. I tried doing a leek soup detox and passed out midmorning. :( Not fun.

Ohh you passed out?? That's not good! I think there are some really dodgy diets out there and you have to be sensible about it. AAnd this is just a bit of a kick start, it's all about a complete healthy lifestyle. Hmm sounds like I'm selling something lol!
