Here as well. And the thing is that in the USA, we still have two very major holidays before Dec. 25th.---Halloween and Thanksgiving |

This is an indicator of the bad economy. The department stores are beginning to put their displays together, too.
The worse the economy is, the earlier they start the Christmas "push" in retail. They anticipate that shoppers have to start early and buy a little at a time, and won't have the money for a big fun shopping spree later.

I've always shopped early. And as time passes, I shop for Christmas year round. I've done a heap of it already for this year. It's my favorite thing to do, when I can find the exact item I am looking for, that is. |

Oh, God! The garden centre where I live in Leeds has also started selling Crimbo stuff.
And on 15 October, they have a Christmas Stock opening extravaganza!
Purrrrlease!! |

and here! Ava and I had a wonderful time a few days ago in the Myers christmas section looking at all the glittery sparkliness. I've actually already bought 4 pressies too. |

I bet Ava will really enjoy Christmas this year, Kaz. She'll be full of questions and able to remember and appreciate things a little more. I can just picture her touching the glittery things and being enchanted with everything. What a wondrous age! |
