Train confusion! Help. by TERRY S on 16 October 2009 5:57pm
Was watching Confessions of a Trainspotter. Anyone know where the train was with the "Don't let me die" sad face on? I assumed it was Woodham Bros scrap yard in Barry SW, but that would mean he arrived in York on Flying Scotsman, then went up to Wales, then returned to York, and got a taxi to Pickering. Which really wouldn't make sense would it. Unless they went on the way to Scotland and edited the order later. Anyone able to solve this mystery, please? Thanks.

I'm obsessed with this documentary. These scrap yard places are not well known. I think the only thing you could do is contact the North York Moors Railway and ask them.

Having read Michaels latest diaries it seems that this journey was filmed in stages so they could have done anything.

Thanks. You may be interested to know then that Traintown in Carnforth has now shut to the public.

Anymore takers on this?
