Hey everyone in Palinland especialy Theee Mr Palin himself. I was born and bred in Glasgow but my heart lies in Cyprus where my roots are.I have the urge to travel and experience new worlds. Having worked for an airline I have done a bit of travelling, the most memorable being CapeTown. We travelled along the garden route. Thee most beautiful place. Visited an orphanage and gave to the orphanage. What a lifechanging experience. University of life is the best education one could have so go out there and be educated. |

Hey there Patty gr8 to hear from you. I love to travel. Although I'd love to take a year out and do
a round the world trip. Been to New York, Florida, France, Austria, Yugoslavia, Germany, Belgium, Greece, Cyprus,(will hopefully retire there as I have family) and many more Places in Europe that I can't think of at this time of the night.
Then there is Africa (will work my way further north. Would love to do the Okavango~ delta safari. Most Safaris in southern Africa are
more like a zoo, where the animals are used to humans. I WANT A BIT MORE DANGER!!!

Hi Again, Maria. It sounds like you have done a lot already and have big plans ahead. I've done my share of traveling too, I should add. Germany, England, Scotland, Wales(just a little), Austria, Switzerland, Lichtenstien, Hungary, Yugoslavia (The old 6-republic country) France, Spain, US and British Virgin Islands, Canada, Luxemburg, Italy.... Hmmm, probably that's all for now.
But let me remind you that if you travel back to the USA, try to visit places other than NY and Florida. They arer not average representations of the country at all. The average American isn't like people in those places and doesn't live like they do. I would dare say to try some smaller towns and some national parks. Small town America is really what I would like tourists to experience. Florida, for one, is nothing like the rest of the country. And so the same for NY. Discover things, as they say, "off the beaten track" , where you'll see how most Americans really live. Florida is full of retirees, tourists and Disney characters. I know. I can ehar you say, "BUT IT'S WARM IN FLORIDA!" lol. You Brits! I understand the attraction, but please venture on to other locations.
Patty~

Hi Ken how ru? It was a few yrs ago when he was up here in Glasgow doing a book signing when I met him. He was boarding the plane I was operating. What a really nice guy. Extremely humbled when I told him I loved his work. Very genuine peoples person. No airs and graces with him. Maria x |
