WILL MICHAEL TRAVEL AGAIN? by JakesCuvCuv on 22 December 2009 3:47pm
Hi Everyone,
I wonder if Michael will do another journey again in his lifetime?
Reading between the lines of his latest newsletter i get the impression his travelling days could be over now :O(
Personally i would like to see Michael try and go round the world in 80 days again in the modern era, to see what all the places he went to are like now whether the services and transportation routes are improved or not, it could be very interesting but i think we have seen the end of Palins Travels and i am very sad!

JakesCuvCuv: Michael has not definitely ruled out either doing some more globe-trotting programmes in the future,or just going travelling somewheres on his own without the TV cameras in tow. He has said he doesn't think he's now too old for it,and there are plenty of places he hasn't yet been to.

Recently he was upstaged however by OSCAR the terrier, who went a-hound the world in 80 dog-days.....he must be absolutely barking!! ..WOOF!!!!...WOOF!!

I'm sure Michael will travel again but unlikely any of his "grand tours" of the past. More like small segments that are able to be filmed out in a couple weeks such as the last 80 days revisited special. Perhaps small segments combined together such as New Europe, where he doesn't actually make it one long continuous journey, but rather, goes home first between destinations. No matter, it's all good anyhow.

irishmanufan, I wrote to Palin's fan club and suggested he should do a tour of the carribbean islands, french, spanish, english and dutch among all those who conquered the islands of the carribbean and they all are striving to distinguish themselves from each other, yet they are all so alike. Palin replied and said great idea. I would be over the moon if the next travelogue was in the carribean. By the by I am a Galway woman meself! The besht in the wesht!
