The Chatter Box : Blathering On
MPs (Members of Parliament) fraud by Ken Dunn on 6 February 2010 6:12am
Having seen the figures for some MPs expenses, I don't think it's any wonder that the banks now have billions of pounds worth of government money and are still giving enormous bonuses.
The only expense that I agreed with was that of Lembit Opik, the Liberal Democrat. He claimed for £155 worth of court fees for non payment of Council Tax (not that I would do that myself).
What a lot of rogues some of them are!

Some Michael Palins??? oohhhh!

Lembit should have been a good boy and paid his Council Tax. It sets a rather bad example to the rest of us otherwise. He should also pay the Court's fees himself.

Thomas Legg has uncovered 374 MP's who will be required to pay back false expense claims, the sums varying widely between a few odd pounds and £42,000,in the case of Barbara Follett MP,wife of novelist Ken Follett.

Oh now I get the MPs, I thought Michael Palin was inflating his expenses, I was hyperventilating here!
