Claim to fame? by BethGoth17 on 25 February 2010 9:25pm
Have you met anyone famous? Do you have any famous relatives?

For me:
I met Mike P and nearly fainted right there in front of him :P
I sent fanmail to him but received a letter from his secretary.
I sent a snippet from my Tin Man fanfiction to Alan Cumming through his website.
I emailed Nancy and Thomas Beatie to congratulate them on Baby No.3.
I would have auditioned for Alice in Wonderland if I was a local (this was in Plymouth) XD
My sister was in the local newspaper. (She was a runner-up in a writing competition - she had the opportunity to publish her story but didn't.)
Our drawings was in the local newspaper (this was for a colouring competition the mayor was judging!)
Both my grandad and my mum have published books.

Random :P

I have been hugged and kissed by Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig. I met Gabriel Byrne twice, I would have traded them all for Michael Palin though. :-)
Oh I almost forgot! I met Ted Kennedy, have met Rusty Staub from the Mets three times, and that's about it really.

Ooh!Ooh!Harry Enfield
I was on the train to school(about 32 years ago) and Harry boarded at Billingshurst daily.
For some reason, after many months,we discussed the fact that school uniform was pants. So I showed him my industrial gym knickers....I haven't seen him since.
However I did get to say hello to his dad a while ago and he didn't reprimand me.

They're lovely and I'm so chuffed my knickers were clean.

Geoffrey Rush (Actor, Pirates of the Caribbean, in a coffee shop, and also sold him a lottery ticket)

I have met heaps of local Australian celebs too but you'd not have heard of then, apart from people in Neighbours like Guy Pearce (who I lived in the next street to). So I won't bore you with all of those ones lol. For those that like Neighbours I met Helen Daniels, Toadie is my sister in law's friend so have met him, and also several others.

I also saw le Queen and Prince Phil but they didn't stop and say hello, how rude of them.

The weirdest one was definitely The Darkness who were playing in Notting Hill Gate and arrived in a bus and Ray and I were watching a siege at a Starbucks, the staff were being held at gunpoint. The band stood next to us watching and talking to us about what was happening. I was also on the news coz I was a witness.)

Oh and also, my friend is Nicole Kidman's cousin.

Sir Laurence Olivier was my great-uncle.
Dame Nellie Melba was my vocal teacher.
I was an extra in the chariot race scene in "Ben Hur". (Hey, who wasn't?)
I was Rex Harrison's third wife.
