Poorly husband alert! by Spursfan on 18 March 2010 8:07pm

Zak is very ill at the mo' - he's had a fever and aching back etc and hasn't slept hardly since Monday (and neither have I).

Then on Tuesday he noticed that one leg was very red and painful on the shin and I thought it might be cellulitis (something that diabetics are prone to). Zak didn't want the doctor but today I managed to persuade him as his leg has been so very painful over the past couple of days. He has had to sleep with a pillow between his legs and has to keep changing positions every 5 minutes or so. I have never ever known him be this ill, even when he had a heart attack (just over 10 years ago)!!

Anyway the doctor said yes it was probably cellulitis, and has given him strong antibiotics and said he should start to feel better by Saturday.

I hope so as I am very sleep deprived !!

Can I ask you to pray to your god, or ask whoever or whatever you like, for his early recovery as he is really suffering at the moment (oh and Tosun on more than one occasion has managed to jump on the bed RIGHT on his poorly leg!! Ouch!!).

Thank you. xx

My best thoughts and wishes to you and Zak for his early recovery.
I know nothing about cellulitis ( I'll Google it later. ) Is he keeping his diabetes under control Anne ?

Anne sorry to hear that hubby is still ill. It sounds like a really nasty dose. Administer creme eggs immediately!

Kazzzz I would, but he isn't eating!! Well he has had the odd titbit but has no appetite to speak of.

However, the patient had a slightly better night; the flu-like symptoms have gone and it is now only the relevant leg which is really really painful. I think there is light at the end of the tunnel.

:)

Prayers have been said here, Anne. Cellulitis is miserable. My dad had several bouts of it. This is one of the few conditions that creme eggs can't treat.
