My friend's son... by kazzzz on 25 May 2010 11:46am

...was the victim in this story. Awful. Andrew's got a Nike "swoosh" scar on his neck now and he got stabbed in the head too but that's not mentioned.

That is awful Kazzz. For both kids really. Did no one notice that the other kid who stabbed your friend's son needed help or was inclining towards violence?

I say that but then I think of all the school shootings by young people here in the US.

Oh, Kazzz, that is just mindblowing. I hate it when crap like this happens.

Unfortunately, there's nothing but bad news being reported. A sad state of affairs in this world. I certainly hope your friend's son can go forth in the world without too much trauma that was associated with this crime.

i spoke to Andrew briefly last night, he seemed ok and in good spirits. When his mum found out what had happened (via the phone) the first thing she did was run outside and up the street in a complete panic, and then realised she was still in her PJs!

How terrible, Kazzz. Hope he will be OK.

The 22 year old son of a friend of one of my work colleagues was gunned down outside a takeaway in West London last weekend. He was treated at the scene but died less than an hour later. There didn't appear to be any motive.

So much of it these days, it's frightening.

Sue noooooo that's dreadful!Where abouts exactly??
The poor family, I don't know how you'd ever get over something like that. When ray and i were living in West London we saw heaps of violence, it's a scary place London is.

So sorry to hear this news. Thinking of you both.

I live in west London but fairly central and have been here 24 years. Yes, there have been a few instances of violence but, on the whole, with cctv, it has subsided. I witnessed more violent instances in north/east London than here.

I think it was Harrow Road, Kazzz. Hope that's not too near you, Linz.
