Graduation: So glad, but yet not ready. by mp_addict19 on 30 May 2010 4:51am

Well, I'm sitting on my futon in my room. . . on my laptop. . . and I can't believe that in a few hours that I'll be walking across the stage to recieve my diploma. This has a pro and a con. The pro is that I'll be done with high school and that's a good thing because there is a lot of drama and people are in their own little clique or group and. . . yeah, high school is just one big soap opera, in my opinion. Now, the con with this is that as soon as I get my diploma and my tassel turned to the left, I think "Wait! I'm not ready to go to college! I don't want to go!" But there is another pro to this: I've got friends that are in college that I've known since Governor's School two years ago. I spent six weeks at the campus at NDSU (that's where I'm going) and lived in the dorms. It wasn't that bad and I rather enjoyed it. Plus I'll have fun and it's a lot better than high school. To sum this thread: I'm glad, but I'm just a little scared.

Congratulations. Don't worry, we all get a little scared at each important step in our lives. You'll be fine and you will enjoy college.

Congrats!!

Yes it'll be strange at first but within a week you'll feel as if you've been there all your life! And you have the advantage of having spent 6 weeks at your new college already so it is familiar territory so's to speak.

Enjoy the ceremony! We don't graduate from HS here in the UK but from Uni and I have to say I wanted to walk across that stage again (and again!)! It is such a great feeling so ENJOY EVERY MINUTE!! It doesn't last long enough!

:)

University was some of the best years of my life. Just remember that along with the freedom and fun, there has to be a bit of study too!! :-)
