I will be there, July 12-19th. With Elaine, my parents, my sister, brother-in-law and my three nieces. They are going on to London for a week after that.
I need a vacation, so I am looking forward to it. Got invited to a tea, an old style Paris salon for dinner and will work out what to see. Wish, I were staying longer, but then have to return and deal with a possible mess. I will not worry about said mess until I return.

Earthcam has a good camera pointing at the Eiffel Tower and you can see the weather/scene there at any time of day

I hope you enjoy your trip, Mike. And especially succeed in blocking your future mess while in the process. ENJOY! Oh, you'll be there for Bastille Day, I see. WIll be mobbed, I guess.

Hope you have a great holiday Mike.

We will be there in August. Yeah I know, every one has told us not to go in August, but that is the only time we can go. First Brussels, then Bruges, then Paris and then London...10 days. After all the visitors I am soooo looking forward to it.

Are you trying to beat MP's record of the most cities in one week?-- You're already doing well if that's the case.

oh well

btw, don't forget to visit all the cities along ROUTE 66,whilst you're at it.

Oi you get your own catchphrase.
Something like "I'll consult Google".

Mike buy me something French. Nothing with Gerard Depardieu on it though.
Re: Paris by bIG bLOGGER on 6 July 2010 3:22pm
"I'll consult Google" is not a catchphrase,it's a statement of intention to do some fact-finding.

However, I would like a really cool catchprase but it must be crisp and original and not downright trite,as in for example old Bruce Forsyth [aka Methuselah] 's old hackneyed:

"Nyce Ta See Ya.....
Ta See Ya------NYCE!!!"
