Bound for the Philipines by mylomook on 16 July 2010 1:49am

After many changes in plan I finally have my summer vacation booked. After issues with costs, weather, change in vacation days, visa troubles, and finding a dog sitter I finally booked two tickets for the Philipines!!

July 30th my friend Zebb and I will be flying to Manila, Philipines. We will only be spending a couple days there, because we have our hearts set on Boracay! Going to fly to Catilcan airport and after that I think we are going to take a ferry or something to get to the island.

We haven't booked hostels or anything, probably going to look into that today. Does anyone have any suggestions? Where are some nice places in Manila and Boracay? Neither of us have been to the Philipines before so we are hoping for adventures.

We are hoping to sit on the beach, enjoy good food, possibly do some hiking, experience the local culture and history. We are also hoping to do something we haven't done before. Bungee jump, swim with sharks, conquer an island, something out of the ordinary.

Let me know what experiences you have had or have heard of.

Thanks,
Mylo
