I dont know if Mr Palin checks this out but i have to thank him and Foyles for a very nice evening last night. Always wanted to meet you and got a chance in the evening. Allthough i did collar you for a picture earlier which was abit naughty and thankyou again for that. I told all my friends on Facebook what i was doing and in ten minuites i had 30 replies all from jealous people. Loads of respect there. Cheers Michael your a great Guy. Just wish i could have chatted longer.

Thank you so much for the report, I wondered how it went yesterday.
Would it be possible to hear more details from you? Did he read from Diaries? What did you chat about? Got any photos? What was the food (LOL)? Thank you:)

Hi Kisch,
Sorry for not answering. Been a busy summer. It was busy there to so not great on the pics. I never really got a chance to take photos so someone took a couple but not great. My one with him was however perfect and i had it as my profile pic on facebook for a while. Chat was the normal stuff. Got my name wrong at first and nearly signed my book so we had a laugh about that. Small chat about travel and he said i was well travelled and i said not as much as him. Told him about facebook and response and he was pleased about that. He read from his Diaries which i think fell on a few people without a sense of humour and there was a few silences. But he was unfazed. He must do all this alot but he seemed ok especially as i cornered him for a photo before the second half of his talk. Was a nice evening. There was a few true fans there. Not much else to say really. Not many people i want to meet in my life but it was very nice to meet him.

Hi Kisch. No I do not, and I bought a copy at Foyles in Trafalgar Square when we were in London in August. I am surprised that the website doesn't post info like that.

Hi Loretto:) I checked the site of the publishing company who published 1st Diaries (Macmillan/Thomas Dunne), http://us.macmillan.com/thomasdunne.aspx - they don't have any helpful info. Probably they themselves don't know the date yet?
But be sure, you'll know it first from my Palin Newsletter here;)
