The Chatter Box : Blathering On
The Hum - ARRRRRRRRRRGH! by TERRY S on 22 July 2010 6:44pm
Hi, Gang. Have any of you guys heard about this? Are any of you victims of it? I am, and I feel like I'm the only one and it ain't nice. Anybody?

As you can see from this article, I'm not the only person in Leeds or any other part of the country who hears it, but it's a nuisance, especially as I'm insomnic anyway.

Your thoughts, please.

Maddening, isn't it? I have occasional bouts of tinnitus where I get high pitched buzzing and ringing in my ears, and I know how crazy that makes me. Hope they figure it out by you, Terry.

If only.

I was at Heathrow Airport one time, and I thought I kept hearing persistent high-pitched whining noises which were really loud inside my head.
So the next day I visited an ear specialist,an Otolaryngologist,to have my ears checked over.
Surprisingly,he gave me the all-clear after only ten minutes.
Fascinating how sometimes you think you might be hearing things.

I had a hearing test, too, but they found nothing that would explain this. We're baffled to be truthful, as are most people who've heard this and those who have investigated it.
