I thought for one moment that you were talking about Terry Jones of Palin and Jones script-writing fame.
But,of course you meant this hate-stirrer of a preacher from the Dove Outreach Center in Gainesville,Florida, who was originally invited by the English Defense League--a bunch of English militant anti-Islamists--to speak on Febraury 5,in Luton,England--a multi-racial town of extremist beliefs--,but that invitation was withdrawn and Pastor Jones said he was coming to England anyway.
But now his welcome card has been withdrawn by the UK government,so he will have to go burn his Korans on Miami Beach. |

Kudos to the UK for not letting him spew his hate in yet another venue (although it would have been nice to get him out of the U.S. for awhile.)

Despite giving a (evidently worthless)"guarantee" that, despite his threat to burn Korans he wasn't in fact going to do so, well blow me down with a Book Of Mormon, --the dodgy Pastor went ahead on March 20th, 2011, by supervising the burning of a Koran by ANOTHER Florida Pastor, notably the Reverend Wayne Sapp....
Look what a head of steam their stupidity has provoked, all across the Muslim world...
In Northern Afghanistan at Mazar-I-Sharif there were 12 deaths, 80 injured and the UN compound was assailed.
In Kandahar in the South-East there were large protests with 10 deaths and 83 injured reported.
In Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, police stations were ransacked.
The were also vociferous protests in Herat and other Afghan cities. In Jalalabad the protests were largely peaceful.
The news travelled to the cities of Pakistan as well.
Pastor Sapp told newsmen the events were "tragic",but added he neither regretted his action nor felt any reponsibility for the adverse consequences.
Pastor Jones said the reaction to the burning proved that "that's exactly the thing we were talking about..."

I'm not sure who I am more angry with:
Terry Jones for trying to incite hatred or the people who slaugtered innocent citizens/UN people because of it. I also read that he Terry Jones said he was going to do an anti-muslim rant outside a mosque in New York. He just doesn't care who he offends, does he? I personally think he is an idiot! |

Why has Terry Jones became like this ? I've always enjoyed his historical and religious programmes and loved his Python days. |

This Terry Jones is a complete nut job, unlike our Terry Jones who is just nutty!
Seriously, the Koran burning Terry Jones is a red neck, he may as well have put a contract out on his own life! |

Yes, Loretto,I agree with you; this Pastor is coming from somewhere else altogether.
Anyone else would be fearful for their life, but apparently not him. Does he believe God will protect him? He must be giving even rednecks a bad name! He now says he wants to go a step further and put Mohammed (or Mohammed's life) on trial!
I seem to remember, didn't Muslims burn copies of THE SATANIC VERSES, by Salman Rushdie, some years ago?
Perhaps Pastor Jones thinks he is somehow redressing the balance, but he is playing with fire in a big way and you know how fires once lit can sometimes get way out of hand and comsume whole estates. |

Oops. Seeing Terry Jones mentioned on Mr Palin's site made me think it was the ex-Python.
That American 'pastor' is a nasty specimen. |
