I'll post more if I get any good ones while stomping through Western Canada.

Geographically, the area I'm in is not that far removed from where I live, being about 1800 kilometres to the East in the Rocky Mountains. Culturally, it might be 18 000.

I put a few more up, that were taken at a standstill. The previous near Fernie pics were shot at highway speed, and I was driving. Are you able to see the photostream? If not I'll post the links.

One photo failure was the one of me sitting in front of a lake that is just behind the grocery store. It didn't turn out, so I am obligated to go there again and swim again tomorrow afternoon.

So, in Fernie, BC, you can see the ski hills from town and, in summer, swim in a nice little lake while your other half does the grocery shopping. Remarkable, indeed.
