A Canadian cell phone rant

OK. Here it is: I have a Telus Mobility LG c555 smart phone that will learn how to swim if I don't get some satisfaction soon.
I have average sized hands and at least average control of my digits. My brain, mind and cognitive function are all within the parameters defined as normal.
Sound good so far? Yeah, until I start using the darn thing. I've sent texts to people I didn't realize were on my contacts list, the bloody thing turns the screen blank after about a second and a half with no user input, the sensitivity is so high that sometimes it dials itself, I got billed for 5$ internet use without seeing it happen, calls are dropped without me even moving the phone, the volume level changes for no apparent reason, and I get French language doubling the amount of time I am on the phone...I could go on.
Does this happen to you? |

Last week I was out gardening for about three days in cruel heat and humidity. I was bent over pulling weeds and trimming flowers and on and on. My iphone was in my back pocket having a party all of its own. I was butt dialing the world. Can't wait for that bill. |

LT: If it's still under waranty, take it back, and tell them all the problems with it. Usually phone shop guys are much much more interested in selling phones than helping customers out, but no need to tolerate that crap. Get a refund/exchange, I'd say. |

I have had problems with my phone too. It takes a lot of time to get to grips with it. It is so sensitive. I have sent text messages by mistake to people which is SO embarrassing! The spellcheck makes me laugh though, the things it comes up with if it doesn't recognize a word. I have left the spellcheck on for this reason! |

Naughty phone. I have a basic trac phone, no bells and whistles. I have fat fingers though, so I have to be careful when dialing. |

I'm on the road and don't have a convenient way to exchange it, ev. I'm glad I'm not the only one with cellphone issues. I use nearly an hour a day battling it...all for only $51.00CAD a month +taxes. Can I poll you for what services you get?
I have a prepaid that cost me $130CAD, when I don't need it, I can use up the months I paid for and put it away.
$51.00 300 text, 150 minutes, no data |

Have an LG too. They are notorious for their crapiness. Trust me, if I ever replace my phone, it won't be with an LG. |

I get 500 mins and 5000 txts for £10 a month with Tesco. Put the sim card in any phone you choose. I'm not smart enough for a smartphone ! |

I was afraid I'd hear a story like that, thanks John. Your service is so much more reasonably priced.
Anyone else want to give me more ammunition to fire at Telus? |
