Our son Simon...... by Spursfan2 on 28 August 2012 9:57am

.....was on Celebrity Wedding Planner on Channel 5 last night! He txt me just beforehand to say don't forget to watch. I was in bed as I wasn't well, and txt him back 'why?!!' and he replied that he might be on as he was at the stag do. In this show (which we don't normally watch, btw), a male and female 'celeb' plan someone's wedding, the bride and groom have no say in it!! Anyway the B & G were from Stafford and were friends of Simon and his wife. The celebs on this show were Russell Grant and Denise Welch. When it got to the the stag do, during the day (in London) they went horseriding and there was Simon! He also managed to get a 'speaking role', saying at one point 'Where's the rest of the Village People?!' when the groom was dressed in riding kit!!! Didn't see him at the evening do, the obligatory strip joint, or at the wedding, but I'm sure Si will put me right there!! I wasn't expecting THAT when I woke up yesterday!! :D xx

You have a famous son! :) Where about in London were they?

I'm not sure - they went to a riding stables and then to a 'strip joint' where Denise Welch's Dad pole danced for the groom !! Apparently the filming was all done by 5 p.m. and then the lads went out and did what THEY wanted to do!!

Here is the link to the programme - Si isn't on until the stables (he's in a grey top)and isn't at the actual wedding.

Effs sake Anne, I can't think of a sadder claim to fame. Simon is a good looking lad though. The milkman must have left him on your doorstep rather than have done 'the deed'. ( apologies to Zak ). x you old boaster. Hi Hyacinth !

I wasn't 'boasting', John, merely sharing Si's experience with my online chums. Though I have to say that of course I'm proud of Simon in all he ndoes...well, mostly!!

And it isn't his 'claim to fame' really, either. Just something they had fun doing. There are photos on FB of the lads including Simon with Denise Welch - I can't be boasting that much or I would have a) shared them on FB, and b) linked them to here?

I was excited about it, that's all.

Trust you to put a downer on it.

Anne, Johnny being tongue in cheek.
I can't put a downer on anyone, they choose to do that to themselves.
