Nasty Stuff, indiscriminate sometimes which is really unfair on many.
Got a text from my sister yesterday (we dont keep in touch much) `Throat Cancer and A Tumor on my Tongue, How funny is That?` Now, Kathy is a weird one anyway, when my dad had a heart attack I began driving to the hospital when she sent me the text `Too Late`, (That was it). Anyway, I rang her, she did not sound, naturally, her chirpy self, or even LIKE herself, due to the tongue tumor, I asked her when she knew she had it, `six months ago` she said, `we really should keep in touch` I said. Anyway, Throat Cancer with a Tumor on the Tongue, Just like our Mum, She died from it. Both have smoked for quite a while.... Hey! you dont suppose there is a connection there do you? Just wondering.......

My bro-in-law had throat cancer and he's recovered. Jim had never smoked and tried to blame passive smoking through the few years he served behind the bar in the hotel they used to own.

He's a farmer's son and had his own farm for a while. So it wasn't due to the chemicals you sprayed without taking precautions ?

Kathy needs you at this time, John.

Yes, an old friend of mine is dying of it at the moment.

Cancer has taken my mum, my sis and my lovely mum-in-law. It even took my cat.

You are a bastard, cancer.
Re: Cancer. by Wheelrim on 15 September 2012 12:22pm
Bastard alright, but is it me or does it seem more prevalent now, or, is it just that the older you get the more noticable it is. I dont recall it being talked about when I was a kid.

If my wee Margaret ever fell ill with it, I wouldn't watch her suffer, I'd do the jail time.

I wish I'd done it for my mum in 1976.

Cancer has ruined my life before it even comes for me.

i have the potential of getting thyroid cancer because I have nodules that could turn that way. I really should have an operation, but I am too cowardly. Shame on me.

I hope they find a cure for it. All my mother's people died from cancer. Everyone of them died from some form of it. Leukemia colon and lung cancer are predominant in that side of the family.
My mother had lung cancer but it caused pernioplasty syndrome which resulted in her being treated for grande mal epileptic seizures for five to six months, making her incoherent and
confused, and then they discovered the tumors in her lungs.

It is hard having an ailing parent so far away when you want to help.

Loretto, my thoughts are with your family.

Terry S, do what the doctors suggest or I'll come down to England and kick your arse.

Thanks John, I will remove that info because they are being very very private about it. But thanks for the nice comment.
