Larry Hagman Dies at 81 by Loretto on 24 November 2012 12:25pm

Well, who shot JR Ewing? Larry Hagman died today. That's the end of an era. Paper says (Saint Petersburg Times) says Linda Grey and Patrick Duffy were at his bedside with his family when he died, he was well loved.

Lonnie, I made two posts on FB that echoed what you just said.

He was well loved here in the UK both for the characters he played and for the insight we got to see through his many chat show appearances.

I shot J.R. !

RIP Larry Hagman.

When he did interviews on UK TV he always came over as an ok guy with a sense of fun and a twinkle in his eye. always nice to see in a `star`. And, yes, nice to see his friends at his bedside as well as his family, it shows the measure of the man.

He looked much older. That's prob down to his alcohol and drug fuelled lifestyle.

Really? I didn't know he was into drink and drugs! I thought he looked great for 81 though.

We are sitting on a plane from Tampa to La Guardia, so just in case, 'twas nice known' y'all!

Actually Kass in later years he was an anti-drink/drugs/smoking campaigner. Probably the health scare woke him up a bit. Good actor. Loved him in Dallas. RIP Larry!

Yep he was, after he almost killed himself with his lifestyle.
Have a good flight Loretto!

Couldn't Jeanie wiggle her nose and bring him back for another 80 years? I never did see that movie, 'Who shot Larry?' I heard the twin peaks made the 3-d version a threat to human eysight. Another loss to 20th century culture.

But seriously, RIP Mr. Hagman.

Landed safely ..... Phew! I hate La Guardia! Hi Kazzz! Freddie has been gone 20 plus years now right? Aw! :-)

Bought Sean a nice navy blue Ralph Lauren blazer in Steinmart today before we left. God he looks like a grown man wearing it! It was $158.00, a great buy! He'll need it for school next year!

I will miss him. Thought of all sorts of Southern Belles while Dallas ran. I miss his evil personality and his famous line "That a fact?"
