Just a very short video I put together. Edinburgh was beautiful.

It looks beautiful, Loretto. Thanks.

Your second opening scene looks across the Forth estuary to where I live, about 20 miles away.
We did days out for a holiday in the middle of July and visited various places in central Scotland. The weather was very warm and sunny most of the time.

Thanks Sue. Ken, the weather was really beautiful. It rained when we arrived in Fort Wiiliam to take the train (steam) to Mallaig. As soon as we arrived in Mallaig the sun came out.

We stayed at Castle Inverlochy, a little too remote and quiet for us, but non the less gorgeous, then we returned to Edinburgh and stayed three nights at the Caledonian. Edinburg Castke was well worth doing the tour, fascinating. And so was the underground tours of Edinburgh, I think they are nick named the sewer tours. Burke and Hare were two right buggers! :-) Great trip and I'd visit Edinburgh again. Sean says he's applying to Saint Andrews for a university choice, so who knows.

You are welcome Pete. I love that song and thought of it the moment I saw Edinburgh Castle. Hope all is well. :-)

I saw Prunella Scales and Timothy West on Channel 4 tonight doing the last of their documentaries on Great Canal Journeys. I hadn't seen any of the previous programmes but this one caught my eye because it was on the Forth and Clyde (Union) Canal. It was a lovely programme with the journey taken at a pace suited to the age of the presenters. I saw a few of the tourist attractions I live with - I drive past The Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel occasionally.

The new Forth Bridge is coming along well and I hear the towers are higher than the tallest building in Scotland.
