The Chatter Box : Blathering On
Thanksgiving by sighthound on 24 November 2015 11:49pm
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. No one expects gifts, just a good time with great food.

Just got back from the store. I'm without transportation at the moment so my neighbor took me. We had three adults and two kids in a Prius and, coming back with all the preparations for feasts for two households, there wasn't a spare inch available in the car.

My dogs are going to have their own feast - I found pigs' ears! I've never seen that before in a supermarket. My dogs LOVE them and make a huge production number out of them. (They double as great toys.) Simon and Tajma will get that along with beef heart, tripe and pork neck bones and I will have very happy pups on Thursday.

Happy Thanksgiving for tomorrow! Your lucky dogs! :)

Don't you have an equivalent of Thanksgiving? Every culture should. Giving thanks for the good things we have is important even for irreligious people like me.

We don't really. It's a shame. Churches do have the Harvest Festival though.

We like to have a Thanksgiving Dinner -Turky, succotash, roast potatoes, sausages, etc. Followed by pumpkin pie. Never quite know exactly what to do for dessert (the pie seems to go down well) or what to drink, but we always toast 'God Bless America'
