Suggestions for New Zealand. by mylomook on 25 January 2016 4:45pm
Hello all!
It's been awhile since I have visited this site, because it's been a few years since I have gone abroad. But now that Grad school is behind me and I have settled into my new job, it's time to explore the world.

So, for this coming May and June I will be traveling to New Zealand. The plan thus far is land in Auckland and at some point take a bus to Tauranga to visit some friends, but after that I am completely open to suggestions. I am interested in a large amount of things. Sports, nature, adventure, history, local culture, and any other suggestions.

So if you are from New Zealand or have travelled there, please let me know what do you recommend for me to do/see/eat/experience.

Thanks so much and happy travels!

I have neither lived or travelled there, but I DO have family there!

My sister lives in Wanganui and my nephews and their respective families live in Taupo. [Both on North Island]

From seeing photos, messages etc. on FB I would recommend visiting Lake Taupo.

Have fun !!

[Incidentally - my younger nephew, now in his 40s and born in NZ) represented NZ in his younger days at roller hockey]
