The Chatter Box : Blathering On
Favorite filmed musical numbers by sighthound on 26 July 2016 8:00pm
Things are so quiet here since everyone decamped to social media sites. Luddite that I am, I don't like Twitter and I hate Facebook so I will try to get a discussion going.

In an effort to avoid the disgusting politics on the telly I scan all the channels to find something to watch. Last night I was so very happy to find "The Meaning of Life" to free my mind from thoughts of Trump. It had been a long time since I'd seen it and I'd forgotten how wonderful "Every Sperm is Sacred" is. That got me to thinking about all my favorite filmed musical numbers. My #1 has to be "Singing in the Rain" as nothing will ever surpass splashing in that puddle, the most joyful moment ever captured on film. And, while "Every Sperm" is right up there for brilliance, my #2 goes to "Agony". Every time "Into the Woods" is aired I tune into it at 44 minutes to catch that perfect little piece - well, it's Sondheim and Sondheim is God....

So what numbers do you all love?

Not a musical but I love the music in Tin Cup, the film starring Kevin Costner about golf. I particularly like Double Bogey Blues by Chris Isaaks.
