No? It's just that I don't use FB, and the posts here have been getting more and more sparse over the past couple of years.. |

I've started with FB and enjoy it. If you're concerned about security, just leave your profile blank and don't post any information. If you're using it on mobile it may use a lot of your data limit. You can minimize this by always: logging off; minimizing those friends you follow; and by not sharing too much, but that is where the fun social benefits are.
You can make a FB profile using a different name, and an imaginary location, place of employment, hometown, school, etc.
I had trouble with my first attempt, deleted the profile, but learned a few ways to be less public about it and I'm happy to have many of the Palinites as friends. |

LT, don't take this the wrong way, but I think you are one of the best Palinites there is and you say that on Facebook you have many Palinites as friends. Could I ask if you have more than 3 Palinites as friends on Facebook? I think that is how many that are left that have not deserted the palinstravels site! |

Hey Ken, I have 7 Facebook friends who I met on this site. It is nice to have more or less constant contact with them.
EDIT: missed one |

Facebook (and Twitter) is very useful in finding out things too. Most organisations have Facebook pages. The national RSPCA has a page plus my local one and quite often they post animals that need re-homing, etc. and lots of useful information. I belong to several groups and find out about lots of things. It is also good to meet like-minded people in joining a group. |

I passed on your message of good cheer, Ken, to all but Suzulu. You would find Facebook very interesting if you can get past the perception of being watched or insecure. I'd suggest you try it, giving no correct information, until you see how it works. As Sue says, Facebook is a good way to connect with like-minded people no matter how arcane their hobbies are. |
