Joanna Lumley's Postcards. by Ken Dunn on 4 May 2017 9:07pm
I've just watched an episode of the Subject and was taken by the similarities in it with Mr P's travelogues. Ms Lumley was in Russia and the vodka consumed in the programme reminded me of Mr P's Pole to Pole series when he passed through Russia to similar hospitality. Also the progamme style and credits were of a fairly similar format to Mr P's ones. It goes to show that an excellent programme format is definitely worth repeating.

I just watched Joanna Lumley's Trans-Siberian Adenture. Of course it was interesting, but her dialogue is extremely simplistic leaving me wanting more.

She does go into a cold war military bunker off the metro. That she could walk past St. Basil's Cathedral without sharing a closer view is perplexing. Of course that incredible building could dominate an entire episode.

I know what to expect from her shows, so was not disappointed.

I adore Joanna's travel progs and always think she would make a good travelling companion - of course I also think Michael would !!

She currently has another series [4 episodes] on TV - 'Joanna Lumley's Silk Road' which has been EXCELLENT !!
