The Chatter Box : The Series
On The Road by measter on 23 August 2003 12:37pm
Firstly i am delighted to hear that all of Mikes travels are finally coming out on DVD.But i hope that the BBC do a proper job with the remastering and include some unseen footage,of which there must be tons.I have often wondered what those journeys would be like if Mike were to do them today.Even today, some of those sectors are difficult if not impossible to traverse. His forthcoming series about the Himalayan Region should be fascinating, and im wondering how tempting Mike will be to doing an assault on Everest itself? Kind regards .

Oh yes before i forget, must mention that i was very fortunate to find a very, very rare video of Mike featuring the very first travel documentary he did for the BBC.Called confessions of a train spotter..bbcv4126.Remember this one?Anyway id been after this for years when i spotted an ad on the EBAY SITE and snapped it up for the princely sum of £4.The only thing about the docu i would question is why didnt they film the journey back south?
