The Chatter Box : Blathering On
LOB in Espanol by RustedMary on 16 December 2003 6:45pm
At the risk of getting a wing-tipped boot in the bum, I have one more post to make today.

For Spanish class, our last composition had to be a movie review.
I chose Life of Brian.

Do you have ANY idea how HARD it is (well, for an American) to translate some of that into Spanish? The Judean People's Front? The People's Popular Front of Judea? Same thing! El frente popular de Judea??? What a headache. ;O)

But nevertheless, it was quite interesting, and fun to write! (Now I recall...it has been that long since I've been gone - I think I posted about how I got LOB on DVD finally. LOL.)

"Follow the gourd!"

Heh. Yes...it's a Maryland thing. Definitely NOT a Wisconsin thing. ;O)

But I'm happy to divulge the information! I did make it to California and out to San Jose, Santa Cruz, and the area (Saratoga, Princeton-by-the-Sea, Half Moon Bay and Mountain View). It was AMAZING. Best trip I've ever taken - my first trip 'on my own', the weather and scenery was gorgeous in that coastal area of California, and I was surrounded by great friends.

I DIDN'T actually get to San Francisco...go figure. We had so many plans already set up that took place in different areas that I never got time to go up there - and I was right there. But next time a couple of us are planning on taking a day out to either a) go to San Francisco, b) do some hiking or c) go to Alcatraz. Considering the area, any one of the three will be amazing. I can't wait until next October!

As far as where I finally decided to stay...I braved it...I camped with most of them! And I can tell you I don't regret it. Those late night campfire singalongs were the best part of the trip. :O)

The woodlands in Saratoga were great, the bay in Princeton was beautiful, the hills around San Jose and Mountain View were amazing, Santa Cruz was one hopping sufer town and the Pacific Coast was sooooo refreshing.

Mary, you're like me, it sounds like.---a nature lover at ehart. But, yes, it would be great if you made it to San fransisco. Alcatraz is only a shortish ferry ride from the wharf. You'd have time to do that.

Thank you for sharing.

I'm so bored. I've decided to read all the previous posts in Blathering On.

I come to this post. LOB in Espanol? Could it be? Can I watch my favourites in a second language?

I read further down. It's been reviewed by a student. In Spanish.

I get an idea. Why don't I review Holy Grail in Spanish?

Is it even in the dictionary?

I go to check.

Everyone leaves this thread. =D
