Audio clips? by sminobe on 14 January 2004 11:21pm

I was re-viewing Michael's intro videos & in the "Memorabilia" clip he mentioned putting some of his tape recordings as well as bits from his notebooks on the site somewhere (linked to the particular chapters in the books, I'd imagine). Am I blind? Have I missed these in some hidden backwash, or have these never made it onto the site? I'd love to hear his 'on-the-spot' recorded observations & see how he transformed them (along with his notes) into the beautiful prose of his books.

Hello sminobe,

Thank you for your posting regarding the memorabilia and audio clips on Palin's Travels.

You are absolutely correct in saying that Michael mentions plans for these items on the site. We are planning to add such memorabilia to Palin's Travels, but this will require Michael's input. Unfortunately (or fortunately, if you're a big fan), Michael is extremely busy at the moment filming his new series, "Himalaya".

This will occupy the great majority of his time for the foreseeable future, but we'll be adding memorabilia and audio clips as soon as he has a spare second. Or week...!

Hope you continue to enjoy the site, and thanks again for your posting.
