The Chatter Box : Blathering On
Lego dancers by Clare on 23 February 2004 6:56pm
I'm not sure if this has been discussed before so apologies if it has! I have just bought myself a copy of HolyGrail on DVD (even though I don't have a player!) and persuaded my family to let me watch it at home as I was going to help out at a birthday party that had a bouncy castle and lots of sweeties.... Anyway cut a long story short I was playing the second disc with all of the extras when I stumbled upon the Lego version of the Camelot song. After I had picked myself up off the floor and watched it again and again, with out crying I noticed that the Gallahad lego man (which is the only one with hair) has a hair like the girl lego men of the past. Is this suggesting something or am I reading too much into it??? Great documentary by a slightly older Gallahad and Bedevere (sorry cant spell that one!) Anyway it tickled me.

Clare....YES!!!!!!!! The Lego Knights!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally agree. Aren't they hilarious!!!! :-)

And yes, the Galahad one is rather suspiciosly ,dare I say it, girly. (There I did say it) :-) :-) :-)

But who wants a butch Galahad?????? In the movie, that hair, in the flesh as it were is a real knee wobbler."Corrr blimey!!" :-)

Ellen x

Did you pick the bit in the 'Camelot'movie bit where a cat is beaten on a table and in the Lego version it's been changed to a parrot..............

classic! :-)

You lot think too much.

Yes I had noticed the swap to a dead parrot and that both the lego men were made to look like Cleese and Palin. I haven't seen animation that funny for ages, it is still tickling me now and I watched it over a week ago!!

I also liked the locations revisted film with Terry Jones and old girly hair (sorry I dont really mean it!) having a wander around Doone Castle and some of the other locations.

I think you can buy the knights, has anyone seen them anywhere?? I have a birthday coming up and I'm really tempted to ask someone to get me them!!! Mmm maybe I should be thinking of more grown up things like a new coat, of stuff for my flat... nah!!
