Palinite14's antipodean holiday by Palinite14 on 15 April 2004 4:08pm
Some people may remember that I posted a request for advice about spiders in Western Australia a few weeks ago because I was going on holiday there...well, I am now in Singapore airport,it's 9pm but I'm still on New Zealand time so it feels like midnight and I'M TIRED. Just two more flights and I will be back in glorious wet cold Edinburgh again. (Singapore airport is like a very quiet and aesthetically pleasing giant sauna) I will soon be posting the full story of this three-week adventure for those who want to read it, but for now I'll say that I had a fantastic time, we did all sorts of stuff and also managed to watch 23 years' worth of Only Fools And Horses episodes in 12 days in Dunedin, the repercussions of which I will discuss in my next posting...

Oh,and I had no spider trouble!!Thank you spiders.Apart from a massive furry grey one on a tree in a national park, and a huge nasty one that scuttled out from under the dresser in NZ,there was nothing.

My plane to Manchester leaves in about two hours and they are playing panpiped versions of music from Pocahontas through the PA system. There are orchids everywhere. If I don't sleep on the next flight I will....not be happy.

Now I am depressed which happened the last two times I flew longhaul:( but I will be back soon!!

Hi Palinite 14,

I suffered a nightmare schedule through Changi airport. But, as airports go, it's very good.

And I suffer from a fear of spiders! MY thoughts go out to you!

Don't worry, you'll soon be in cold, grey Manchester! Then, like me, wishing you were back in chaotic Changi!
